 This is my story starter enjoy.

The wise old owl could answer any question you would like to ask. The story goes that he is 100 years old and has not moved from that spot but the tree fills him with the knowledge of the world and its entirety any thing he could solve world hunger or evan plans for the military but only the worthy can ask him a question if you are not worthy he will give you the wrong information and could put your life endanger so be careful if you see ask him a question if you dare.

Polygons and Irregular Polygons

 

Today we have been learning about polygons and non polygons and their differences. They are easy to sort  by straight lines and there are no curves, they can not be 3D. They are only 2D. Polygons do not have intersecting lines, they can not have open lines in them as well. Polygons are named according to the number of sides they have, seen pic below. Poly means 'many' and 'gon' means sides.

We have also been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. The difference being width and length(2D) and length, width and height(3D).

 10 ways manners make the world better 

1. A nice please and thank you is a way to show you have respect toward others.

make sure you always use please and thank you toward you elders they need your resect they are older

and wiser.

2.Always say hello back to someone it show resect as well evan towards a stranger it is a nice greeting

and a kind gesture.

3. When you shake someones hand have a good strong grip and look them in the eyes not a like I

want to rip your arm off grip but a firm grip.

4.Speaking kindly it make people feel good about them selves and have a different view of you and

can make someones day evan just you look nice today can change someones day if you don't have

something nice to say don't say anything at all.

5.bad language like swearing make you look agro and aggressive and make you look not so intelligent

it can effect the way people look at you.

6.  Try and notice the good thing other people treat you and treat them the same way you want to be

treated. Karma's a  thing and if you do nice things nice thing will come to you.

7. Accept your mistakes and take the blame if you done it is your fault and don't try to pin it on others

that is no friend if they were involved they should take some of it but some body is not involved dont

blame others and if you see some body doing some thing they shouldn't be then dont get involved you

can get in trouble as well so dont get involved.

8. Try and see the funny side of things when they go wrong dont get angry and throw a tantrum

and take your anger out on others that is a rats thing to do and nobody deserves to be treated that way.

9. Your manners change you in to a better person other peoples eyes and our own when you use

manners you get that feeling of yeah I just gave her or him a complement and you feel good about your

selve and it is a good feeling and you make there day a lot better and can change opinions on you. 

10. Personal space is important because some times you need it to calm done and it is important to

have self control and discipline it is important to have discipline and self because people will get in your

space but be the bigger person and walk a way and calm your self to keep your self calm and collected

can change a mood from a negative mood to a nice and calm mood which can make the situation better

Sailing Experience

On Tuesday we went sailing I did not like it on the boat because I was scared. I have always hated boats and open water but I still went and gave it a go. I left early because I fell in and got soaking wet and that was my experience at sailing.

I think they should be allowed but not while the teacher is talking. It must be appropriate but as a reward for doing school work. So say I had finished my work as a reward I can go on phone for games youtube and music but must have headphones for music I think I would do way better with music.

For willam pike i have done orintering and i am very good at it i try my best every time and never gave up and all ways top 3 and on friday we went to Rawhiti domain and i came first and got 18/18 I lernt about contours,compass skills and map features.

Maths-Comparing Fractions

In math today we done comparing fractions and I was over thinking things and getting frustrated but I still got them right and 30/30 it was 50 but we only had to do it to 30. So I still got alot of them right. I  am only good at fractions, well that is what I think at least.

digi tech

today at digi tech i made a game on scrach and it is about batman and the joker and i spent along time on it and they are in gothem city and the joker drops babys and batman has to catch them 40 times and you have 10 lives and it has voices and diffrent backrounds lock at it on scrach Batman v joker.

Fitness HIIT

Today we did a HIIT circuit. Everyone had a partner and I was by myself which meant I was so sweaty. We started with push ups and other exercises then and moved up to duck walks. I was the only one who did the duck walk right.

My first day of tech

This year for tech i have wood work and digi tech. In wood work it was very hot in the room and the saw dust was in the air. We started our key tags and mine is a wave it is going to be a gift for my friend we also had to fill in sheets for saftyand to find out what we want to do in class.

overall i think that was a good day and i had fun just being back and starting all over again  and the year 7s first day of tech YAY.

My CV

Today I done a cv as a year 8 leadership enrollment to get a job around the school. I have chosen to try and go for the event team wich is what wanted to do strait away and I knew that  it was perfect for me  and I needed to be in that group so I done a 190 word cv for it and I took my time with it and I think it is perfect. I hope Liz likes it when iItake it to her thx for reading.

My first week as a year 8.

My first week as a year 8 went well  I found that being a year 8 has ups and downs. An up is being a leader of the school and having a lot more opportunities to help out around the school and a down is that everyone looks up to us as leaders and I'm not sure if I can be a good leader.

Alot of my freinds are in high school so I had to make new friends this year and I did and they ara great friends and I hope we stay freinds. There names are matt and callum and they are alot smarter than me.

One of the opportunities I am going to do is choice and challenge. Choice and challenge is were we go down and have activities for year 1s to year 3s and last year i done cooking we done pancakes and hot drinks etc. They made the base and we cooked it so they didn't hurt them selves but this year i want to do hall games like dogeball,death ally and barb wire.
